Civil litigation

Recommended Posts

I filed my own appeal in circuit court. I asked the clerk when I would hear anything from the court concerning my case. She said that I wouldn't unless I pursued it and she could not give me any legal advice. What does she mean by pursue? I sent a copy of the appeal to the other party involved. What next? I spoke to an attorney who felt I had a case and needed to find an attorney experienced in civil litigation and unemployment issues. Thank you

If you are pursing this on your own, you absolutely have to go to a law library and read through an appellate practice book. You also have to read the Rules for the appellate court you are in. Even experienced attorneys do these things.
