Unpaid Overtime?

6 posts in this topic

I am not a salaried employee.  I punch in and out every day.  My employer took me on a business trip to a trade show.  I was away for 10 days, 9 nights.  He paid me for 40 hours.  Am i entitled to more compensation?

Overtime is required when you are actually working more than 40 hours in a one week pay period.  Since 10 day & 9 nights is longer than a 7 day week we would need to know your pay period and the number of hours you actually worked.

Travel time, except when it is during the normal work hours, is not work time if you are a passenger.
