Asylum interview

2 posts in this topic

A friend of mine has had an asylum interview at their Anaheim immigration office in California at the beginning of June. After the interview she was told to come back to the same office in two weeks to pick up the answer, however in a week she received a phone call from the same officer saying that she doesn't need to come and they will mail her answer to her address. A few weeks has passed and she still has not received anything.
Is this a good sign? Any similar experiences ?

We would have no way of even guessing how the application for asylum might be decided. None. Two weeks is an extremely fast turn around time and I have never heard of being able to come by the office to pick up a letter. If your friend has an attorney, your friend should check with that attorney.
