Allegations of sexual abuse

We found out that a recent hire received allegations of sexual abuse last year for an incident that happened in 2011.  He denies that it happened, alleged victim did not pursue charges, no other accusers have stepped up.  Management stands by decision to hire him.  People have been talking around the workplace.  And google is just a few clicks away.  What should management do?
