Deferred Adjudication

Recommended Posts

What is the final disposition of a deferred adjudication plea?

I  was under the understanding that  deferred adjudication would result in the case being  "dismissed"  in consideration for successfully completed probation?

Wouldn't the judge be the only one who could revoke the probation?  I would think any revocation would not only be based upon the recommendation of the Probation Officer and/or District Attorney? but would also require a hearing before the judge?

Whatever the statute says that allows the deferred adjudication provides or what ever the judge states at sentencing.

Your probation office could violate your probation, but if you wanted to fight it, you would be entitled to a hearing before a judge.
