employer denial?

Recommended Posts

is it legal for an employer to stop payment of workmans comp checks, when the dr, of record states the employee is unable to return to work , at this time this man was  refused his last two checks just because the employer says he doesn't have to pay and a lawyer told him this was true, is it?

Well, considering we don't have any of the facts about his condition, his workman’s comp claim, or even in what state this is taking place, there is no way to know if the payments were really due to the employee or not. The employee ought to consult a workman’s comp lawyer in that state to determine what benefits he was entitled to receive.
