laws on breaks

Recommended Posts

Started work In day care 1 year ago, nothing spoken of Chores during interview, employer says oh yes was, 5 of us say no was definitely not mentioned however the other 4 left I am last of 1 year staff,

not 10 bathrooms hallways to mop including own class room we work in

sometimes 10 hour day no breaks at all trying to find someone to relive to go bathroom is so bad

If in class alone

talked to employment office

they say in SD no law to say we require a break

just find another job.

are we sure this is correct in SD.

In future posts, if you could address the lack of punctuation issue, it would be most appreciated.

It doesn't matter whether "chores" were discussed during an interview; an employer is free to add duties or subtract, etc. as it pleases unless you have a contract between you saying that you will only do X-Y-Z for a specific length of time.

You can check with the SD labor dept. to see whether state law mandates breaks; most states do not.
