Faliure to stop at a Stop sign

In the state of Virginia, a summons was issued for failing to stop at a stop sign. However, I remember stopping. On the summons, the issuing officer did not state the intersection of the incident. She only stated the street that the incident occurred. There is more than one stop sign on this street. Is this a valid argument to fight the ticket
