  1. I apologize in case this isn't in the right category. I'm on my phone, and wasn't able to find a more appropriate topic. My fiance has a myriad of health issues. Lately, he's been having stroke -like symptoms. I'm the only one who can take him to the hospital, and stay with him. (One of his episodes, he was NOT able to speak). This causes me to miss a day or two of work each time. Not being married, I know that FMLA should not apply. Is there anything I can do, or use, to avoid disciplinary action for attendance?
