  1. I live in Kansas my lease is until July 31st and I already signed a new lease for another year starting August 1st 2019. I just got a notice saying I could transfer to another unit for the same price or move out by June 30th. They want to renovate the apartment and said it’s in the lease that they only have to give me 30 days notice to vacate. I am not the only tenant that got this letter. The problem is I’m disabled and having surgery this Tuesday early morning. I’m expected to be in a rehab facility for a week. I can’t physically move my belongings. Do they have to make an exception for my situation? Can they break my lease? Can they break a new lease we already signed? What can I do?
