  1. First and foremost, I'm from New Jersey and this is where the business will call home. A few friends and I recently came up with an idea and I'd like to know basically two things: • Is this completely legal? ie. do we need some sort of permits or permission from associated businesses/government • If so, what do we need to start our business? The idea: A food delivery company that delivers food (via phone call/internet order) that isn't normally available for delivery. For instance, there are several fast food places in the area (Mcdonalds, Wendys, Burger King, etc.) and none of these deliver. The concept is a customer wants food from one of these restaurants but has no means of picking it up or doesn't want to pick it up, so they call us and we buy the food for them. The profit comes from one of two means: either we charge a (currently) arbitrary delivery fee, or we make some sort of deal with these local fast food restaurants where we get a cut from any sales they make through us. So, again, I don't know how legal this is and would like to know. Everyone is a winner here as we are making profit from delivering food, and the businesses we get the food from are making profit as they are getting customers they wouldn't otherwise have. Because of this I'm sure coming to an agreement with these local restaurants wouldn't be a big deal, but I'd like to know whether or not this is necessary. Thanks for your time in advance.
