PULLED OVER ON PALISADES INTERSTATE PARKWAY BY PARKWAY POLICE.

DRIVING A PASSENGER VAN.

THE OFFICER STATED THAT I MAY NOT CARRY TOOLS IN THE BACK ON PARKWAY.

VAN HAS PASSENGER SEATS IN REAR, PASSENGER WINDOWS, PASSENGER PLATES FROM NY..

GIVEN 2 TICKETS

39:3-33 IMPROPER DISPLAY, UNCLEAR PLATES

412.3E UTILITY BUSES WITHOUT PERMITS

Turn off the caps. It's annoying, hard to read, and the equivalent of shouting.

412.3E is a regulation of the Palisades Park Commission and is on Page 20 at:

412.3 Vehicles permitted to use parkways or park roads by written permit only.
(e) Any vehicle owned and operated by a utility and used in the construction, maintenance or repair of its facilities when actually engaged in the construction, maintenance or repair or facilities located on property under jurisdiction of the commission.

 

What is it about your vehicle that made the officer think that it was covered by (e) and needed a permit?

 

Seems to me that just carrying tools in a passenger van doesn't cut it and you might be able to beat it if you go to court and plead not guilty.
