Case Shingles & MRSA ??

3 posts in this topic

20th of October 2008 This individual had Rheumatoid Arthritis medication that made her body more capable to infections etc.she got shingles on the right side of her face and head and was admitted to Renown Medical Center located in Reno, Nevada where since she was on aid she got poor care, while she was in the hospital she also got MRSA - infection which with the shingles she got a ulcer in her right eye! Eye specialist would periodically take her pressure of her right eye a few times! She was in ICU a couple of times because of the Shingles and MRSA - infection combined and the hospital was not a ware of the MRSA - infection for three or four days because they had to send the sample to a special lab for testing. She was not a happy camper due to the fact of number one the care at times was below standards! She asked to take a bath and was denied, common sense would say yes to help with the Rheumatoid Arthritis which they didn’t really figure out the whole time she was in their and really wasn’t treated by a (RA) Rheumatoid Arthritis Specialist, the one that did came by had bad medical practices at the clinic he asked for her to take off all her clothes without a female nurse present! She didn’t want to see him and they didn’t have another (RA) Rheumatoid Arthritis Specialist on staff. She spend 17 days in the hospital before we could get her released we first of all had to get a funding code for the O2 and special pills for the MRSA - infection funding. Since its been a year still no sight in the eye and complete derogation of teeth from the all of the medication and still on O2. How would you take this to get the problems fixed with the eye and teeth cased from the hospital I understand they say theres a risk, when you walk into the emergency room and you sign papers something here is not right!

Unfortunately, your friend is out of luck. In 2002, Nevada voters, by initiative, changed the law and the statute of limitations to file suit for medical malpractice is one year.
