Question from firstsonNov-3

Ok thank you so much for the reply. The termination was based upon being tardy, absent, not sweeping the dock, not throwing out the trash, not putting up freight, pulling orders in an hour or less, doing inventory in three hours or less. I have a copy of the rules that they wrote for us, the supervisors or more or less a couple. there is alot more to the storie that i can possibly type here. the dicrimination in our eyes was that the our supervisor was threatened by us and felt a dire need to make an example of one of us to the rest that he was in charge still. Therefore went to his (super) and then they procceded in making these bylaws. I say childish for the reasons listed above, the trash, the dock, i mean what other reason would you threaten that we do those things on a daily basis anyway. putting up frieght is more challenging, when you have 3 guys and over 250 products and its 5:30 in the afternoon. Pulling orders in an hour, well in a perfect world maybe be possible but whan you have a 3 page order no way. Most important day of the week is inventory and they want a 4 to 5 hour job done in 3 well just isnt possible. My main complaint is i feel targeted because i got fired for being tardy. The bylaw said none of the above until Jan. 1 2010 or automatic termination, one other employee was late the next day and wasnt terminated but i was for a reason i dont not undrstand

In future, post a reply as an "answer/reply" to the original thread (as I did).

"The termination was based upon being tardy, absent, not sweeping the dock, not throwing out the trash, not putting up freight, pulling orders in an hour or less, doing inventory in three hours or less."

Termination can be done for any reason or no reason at all, let alone not following rules (however impossible to accomplish or childish or arbitrary they may seem to you).

"the dicrimination in our eyes was that the our supervisor was threatened by us and felt a dire need to make an example of one of us to the rest that he was in charge still."

Even if you want to call this discrimination (note the "s"), this isn't unlawful.

What I mentioned in the initial reply is what would count as unlawful discrimination.

i understand now that it isnt unlawful. Are they able to change the handbook as they did. I have time in the books that i could have taken instead, them not letting me take the time is that ok to do?
