My husband has was injured at work and has been been receiveing worker's compensation for almost six months.   He has recently learned that he will not be able to perform the same tasks as he previously performed at work, (per his physician), and  his employer reportedly does not have a position that requires light duty or not lifting the heavy materials that my husband recently performed.   The insurance carrier for Worker's compensation is this state is referring to settlements and/or that my husband look for another job.    He is closer to a retirement age and losing benefits.

What is your question?

It may be that husband should seek out local workers' comp counsel (personal injury attorneys regularly do w/c work too).
