my cousin got aressted for a warrant out of colorado for stalking.he was here in indiana and he has not been to colorado for a year.him and his ex. were haveing an arugument over the phone and she would hang up and he would call back  leading to the cops being called and a warrant issued for him.he does have a recored but not for anything close to this.he has been out of trouble for 5 years and was in no trouble whene he lived in colorado.i just want to know what different possibles could happen to him and could he get a bond? everything he has and owns is in indiana,his house,job,family .i really need some help on this if someone could please help me.

A lot depends on the EXACT charges against him, the prosecutor in the case, and the particular district court in Colorado that will try the case. The prosecutors and judges in, say, Grand Junction will look at things a bit differently than Boulder, for example. He will get an arraignment and bail hearing when he makes his appearance in the Colorado court. The court will almost certainly set a bail amount; whether it is a bail amount he can pay is another matter. Also, the terms and conditions of the bail are important. It may include a restriction against leaving the state. He really needs to discuss this with a Colorado criminal defense attorney.
