My dad got put in jail today for strangulation and domestic battery. This is a first offense and it might be medically related. I'm wondering what the punishments are for this. Jail time? Bond?

Depends on the laws of the unidentified state where it occurred (and, obviously, it depends on whether or not he is actually convicted).

It's in Indiana and he will admit to putting his arm up to her neck and hitting her. That is what he told me happened. He is disabled and takes a lot of medication. That is why we wonder if it is medically related.
