Question from jehrynNov-3
Hello,

A friend of mine (an adult) is being denied the ability to see her 15 year old sister by their parents. I realize that this in and of itself is not really a legal issue, however the mother is physically and emotionally abusive toward the 15 year old. My friend uses contact that they are able to have (by sneaking around behind the mother's back) to gather evidence from the 15 year old to support the abuse allegations. Are there any grounds that my friend might have to get visitation rights legally enforced, given the abuse allegations?

Physical abuse should be reported to the local police and/or child protective services.  Whether your friend can get a visitation order depends on the laws of the unidentified state where her sister and parents live.
