I am a waiter in the State of Michigan. I am wondering if I give incorrect change to a customer or a customer walks out on his bill, can my employer make me pay the difference?

Not precisely clear what you mean by "make".  The law doesn't allow them to unilaterally take it from your pay if that's what you mean.  You're free to discuss a wage claim with the state labor dept.

To clarify am I responsible for the difference in the bill or for paying the entire bill that the customer walked out on? Legally am I responsible?
