Why is it when people post for help in criminal cases ie.ask to be directed to find pro bono criminal def. NO ONE ANSWERS do you make cold calls or is their org. ?????

There is no post-conviction pro bono organization of attorneys anyone can refer you to. Whether or not an attorney takes a case pro bono depends not only upon the specific facts but how much time and money it will cost them to pursue. Post-conviction there are some organizations but they generally focus on handling capital murder cases and cases where there is DNA available for testing.

The post above is generally accurate when it comes to your question. However, you will never know unless you pick up the phone and call the attorney. I suggest you click on the lawyer directory at the top of this web page and search for an attorney in your area.
