my landlord is an elderly man and his sons took him and locked him up in a psych hospital,came to his apartment,locked the doors,took his truck,and and said everyone that rents from him is getting evicted.I have personal items that my landlord borrowed in his home and they would not let me in to get them.is there anything i can do to retrieve my items and not get evicted?

Retrieve your property: Sue your landlord and/or his sons who are apparently in possession of the items.
Not get evicted: If you have a long term lease, you cannot be evicted during the term of the lease unless you breach the lease in some way (e.g., by failing to pay your rent). If you're a month-to-month tenant, you can be evicted at any time upon your landlord giving proper notice.
