My daughter's play on a sports team and they go to away games. They and I have been informed to always send money so that when they stop after the game for dinner they can get food, which has never been a problem until this year. Now for some reason they are not allowing the kids to get food at the games and then not stopping on the way home, some nights not getting home til after midnight and they leave around one or two in the afternoon.
Isn't there laws dictating that schools need to provide opportunities to the students to at least purchase food for meal times when away from school?
No meals during field trips?

Any laws on this would be state law, and you didn’t mention the state. You might contact your state’s education department to ask about that.

Obviously, any applicable laws will be state-specific. Have you spoken with team officials about this? Is there something preventing your kids from bringing "sack lunch" type meals that they can eat in transit to and from the games?

Have you contacted the school to address this matter?
