I have a court order since 2000 that states my xhusband and I share/split all medical and out of pocket expenses for our children. I pay my half of all my bills right away. he has not paid his half and the bills are going to collections in my name, because the insurance is in my name. I have paid one of those bills to save me credit. But two more bills are in collections..and he refuses to pay them. Should I go to small claims court to him to pay these???

Depends on the laws of your unidentified state, but the typical procedure is to seek a contempt citation from the divorce/family court.

Then the appropriate way to handle it is by seeking a contempt citation from the family court, not a separate, civil action.

To learn more about contempt, you may wish to read the LawBrain: Contempt article as a good resource.
