Can i sell my home if i am still in chapter 13 ? The cost of homes in my area have gone back up (San Diego ca. ) would like to sell and move to a different state

You can sell it, but before you do, talk to your bankruptcy lawyer about the impact that will have on your Chapter 13 plan. You may find that some or all of the excess proceeds (if any) will have to go to your creditors.

I agree with the previous poster, you may want to consult with a local Bankruptcy Lawyer to advise you of your options regarding your interest to sell your home. I also suggest you visit the Bankruptcy & Debt Center and read Chapter 13 Bankruptcy as a good resource to learn more about this subject matter.

You will have to get court approval. I'm guessing that any proceeds will be less than your homestead exemption so you won't have to pay more than your plan payments.
