Is it legal for an individual to forward and email he recieved from me to several other people. The email was addressed to only this individual and concerns a private, business/legal matter.

As long as he isn't your attorney, once he gets the email, it's his and he's free to distribute it worldwide if he wants to.

It's not a criminal act even if the guy were your attorney (or doctor).

Ultimately, without all relevant facts/info, no one could make a meaningful guess at whether there's any viable civil action somewhere in what you've described.  You'd discuss that with a civil litigation attorney locally.  (I'm allowing for you simply not bothering to share relevant info in terms of his forwarding of it being accompanied by libelous remarks, for instance, or knowing full well that the contents being disseminated would do you damage.)

In the absence of some contractual or other relationship between you and the recipient (e.g., if it were your attorney), there would be no legal prohibition.

Not sure what this has to do with criminal law.
