What are a fathers visitation rights in Ohio,who does Not have any kind of custody of the child? And how does it work?
My situation is very chaotic when it comes to my daughters father and quite troublesome. I have soul custody of my child, me and her father was never married and his name is not on the birth certificate. I've been taking care of my daughter on my own for the past 5 years. Not once was i questioned or pressed for any kind of custody from her fathers side nor visitation in that matter. But he has made life very difficult for me and my child ever since she was born and hasn't been involved in my daughters life, except for the occasional holidays.He refuses to pay child support (by not getting a job# even thow he is court ordered . I know that every father or mother has a right to have visitation with there child. But what if i as a mother does not want that to happen. I have very high red flags up towards her father, due to his negligence and lack responsibility as a father and the way he conducts himself and the people he brings my daughter near when IM not around. Not to mention his lengthy criminal record that keeps piling up and bad addictions. I just don't feel safe when my daughter goes off with her father mentally or physically. Besides the safety issues he doesn't have a set house he lives in, he kind of floats about house to house, nothing for my child to do or play with, no clothes, IM not even sure he feeds her when she does go out to visit him.
That leads me to the reason IM here asking my questions Besides all that I've wrote about her father. just recently i was forced to call the police on my daughters fathers girlfriend for her harassing me, besides that she has a history of violence, drug abuse, etc. She is to have no contact with me or my daughter. I've told this to her father many of times. He just doesn't understand that i pretty much say what goes besides what the police have said. And instead of being an understanding person, #i never said he could not see my daughter) he chooses to try and get visitation so he can bring my daughter around his girl friend.
So my last question is, Is there a way i can prevent him from getting visitation or if he does get visitation i can have some sort of boundaries set, as to where and who can be there at visitation time? I meen he is already on thin ice with me, but IM finally fed up. If he cant keep my daughter safe and keep himself/place that is up to good standards then i just don't want him around her period.
