In every state, whether to leave a child home alone, and at what age, is a judgment call left strictly up to the child's parents, based on such factors as the environment the child is left in, how long they're alone, the age and maturity level of the child, and the availability of help if needed.

If you have reason to believe a child who has been left alone is in danger, you are free to contact the parents and/or the appropriate authorities, and if your concerns turn out to be justified the parents could be cited for child endangerment.  However, simply leaving a child alone alone does not by itself constitute child endangerment.

I'm not sure what you mean by "age policy," but there is no law on this subject in any state.
