I have filed my Uncle's will and have been named administrator/executor of his will.  There is only 7,000 dollars in his estate so there is no lawyer involved, I am taking care of everything.  My state is PA.  I need to know what fee an executor/administrator should receive for handling this and also, I had to travel to a different county 80 miles from my home to file the will where my uncle resided when he died. Can I take mileage and what is the acceptable rate for that?

Generally, the executor is also entitled to payment. The exact amount is regulated
by state law and is affected by factors such as the value of the
deceased person's property and what the probate court decides is
reasonable under the circumstances. Click on the links below for Pennsylvania-specific resources.
Good luck to you.
